Mispillion River Challenge
Summer (full field) Field Hockey Tournament
Tournament Dates:
July 8-10, 2011
Tournament Location:
Milford High School, Milford, Delaware. Located 20 miles south of Dover, DE and
23 miles north of Rehoboth Beach, DE. Both fields are all-sport turf.
For certified USFHA club teams
All participants must be USFHA members, including coaches
U15, U17, U19 and Adult Ladies pools
There will be limited spots available (8 per age group)
Four team per pool with three pool games before crossovers.
Crossovers will result in two additional games in Gold
Division and Bronze Division
Medals awarded to Champions and Runner-ups in each Division.
Gold Division Champions will receive a $400 donation to their field
hockey club (sportsmanship criteria must be met: less than 6 total cards
against the team during the event).
Cost is $600 per team and fee must be paid on-line
(registration opens March 1,2011) Forfeit check must be mailed after team is
awarded a position. Deadline is May 1, 2011
Games played using FIH rules including tied breakers in
cross over rounds
Game details: Two twenty-five minute halves with a
five-minute halftime. All games played on turf at Milford HS, Milford, DE
Registration opens on March 1, 2011and closes on May 1,
2011 or when pools are filled. Final confirmation will be emailed after the
forfeit check and registration form is received by Delaware Shore Field Hockey.
