History
Delaware Shore Field Hockey had its beginning in 1998 as a training program designed to improve the field hockey skills in the Cape Henlopen area. The program then evolved into travel indoor teams and travel showcase teams for the athletes in the local area. Eventually Delaware Shore has included athletes from throughout the state of Delaware.
Delaware Shore also has added components to train our athletes as field hockey umpires and coaches. Alumni of Delaware Shore now umpire at the high school level and are coaches at middle schools, high schools and college.
